9 B’atz

~ April 24, 2022 ~

B’atz is the Mayan sign that represents the weaver, the artist, & the divine creatrix. The master artisan. Today is about the art and the mastership of creating and weaving your own reality. 9 B’atz is considered a very special day for women, as it is a celebration of their creativity and their ability to create life. This is the day of women, the day to honor them. A day for women to feel empowered by their feminine-specific gifts and magical abilities.

B’atz is the sign of the monkey, the musician, the creative genius. B’atz is the bridge between worlds, the fabric that holds the spiritual plane, physical plane and the many different realities together. It is the thread that connects the dimensions. B’atz inspires us to create beauty and to create the ideal world and situation we’d like to be living in. B’atz is the weaver of your own divine reality. It is also the weaver of the threads of time.

Today this Mayan nahuale combines with the number 9: the number of life and the lunations of gestation. As B’atz is also the sign of the process of birthing life and art into the world, this sign and number go together well. 9 is the number represents the sacred Mayan calendar, the calendar of life, and the women that give life. 9 is seen as the number of life, and the number of the divine feminine. Nine creates a strong feminine presence, and it is a day on which women may wish to give thanks for their gifts.

Today gives us the opportunity to revel in & be empowered by the magic and life-giving, reality-creating, nourishing, abundant gifts of the divine feminine.

“This is a day for women to honor who they are, to embrace their femininity and creativity. It is a day of celebration of female Aj Q’ij, Maya day keepers. It is a day when men have the opportunity to honor the women, particularly their wives, mothers and daughters. Whilst this day may be a day of the women, it is also a day to embrace the feminine creativity, to allow the women in our lives to inspire our art.

“If there is a nawal with the energy to inspire us to create beauty, it is the nawal B’atz. It brings the energy to create, and what it creates, it usually does so with great talent… [2 B’atz] could also be seen as creation through the combination  of the right brain and left brain working together, the artistic and the logical. This may take a little sacrifice, perhaps not all of the original inspiration fits into the structure, or the original structure has to change in order to accommodate the artistic. In whichever way it is put together, it is possible that the end result will truly be marvel.

“This could also be seen as a rather romantic day. B’atz is another marriage day, the weaving together of two people, and here we see it combined with the number which also represents lovers and relationships. It is an auspicious day to begin to weave something beautiful together with another person. After all, this is also the trecena of Tz’i, the nawal of unconditional love.”

Today is a day to create art & manifest. A day to start a new project, to conceive a new version of yourself on the eve of your birth. It is a day to bask in who you want to be and in what you are calling in. It is a day to weave your reality the way that you desire.

:: I invoke and honor the divine feminine within and around me. I create magic, art, and life. I am the weaver and the architect of my own divine reality. I transmute dust to beauty. ::
